A very confiding Water Rail down to 4-5 metres was a nice site tick but with virtually no supporting cast.
Lunch.
Checked park for finches etc but drew a blank.
At Broadmarsh pretty much nil but, with such a big tide, lots of waders continually on the move including up to 100 Bar'wits, the first this year.
Again the shellfish dredger was tazzing up and down so no divers/grebes etc.
At the FM carpark 35+ Avocets, easily overlooked as they bobbed up and down on the high tide. Two Kestrels on the marsh, one perched up.
Back at base, a particularly vocal Chiffchaff came to check out my pishing and Shovelers up to 15-20.
