Some periodic ramblings about bird, butterflies, moths, dragonflies, hovers and anything else that pops into my head.

Peppered Moth was the first for a while but nothing too special otherwise, although this Marbled Green was tough to ID (thanks to Hants FB guys) but also NfG/T I think. A scruffy moth which I assumed would be a micro turned out to be Silky Wainscot, a reed specialist presumably blown over from the pond. A couple of Silver Ys and this White Ermine plus the nice micro Agapeta hammana. No more sign of the flower bee on lavender.
Sadly, no opportunity to check the QECP site for Bombus vestalis today with a wait in for meeting with NHS Carers Centre.
P.S. The Four-banded Flower Bee returned but avoided the lavender; maybe too much competition from bumbles, honeybees and a detemined Small White. As the day edged to a close this Lasioglossum was again rosting apparently.
