Sweltering last night and awake at 2:50am - too early to empty the trap. After dozing til seven-ish the garden was full of sparrows, probably 20 or so, and a Garden Carpet on the conservatory door didn't survive. Two daggers (Acronicta spp), Dunbar and Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing were the best plus another Tree Lichen Beauty and one unfamiliar micro to be checked.

Prior to another hospital visit (with M and K), an opening-time breakfast at TH produced just a few east bound Swallows; a female Chrysops type deer fly was on the window.
