Lazio's got a friend..

Another day another Care staff/Doctor/ Health Care Professional visit and phone calls ... both pretty exhausted to day But enough of that and back to the wildlife.

Lazio the Lasioglossum had found a friend to roost with in the lavender last night. They are obviously late risers as the Buff-tails were already active whilst they stayed head down until it warmed a bit.

Hypsopigia glaucinalis was the best of the micros and a few unidentified ones got away. I released two Yponomeuta without bothering with pics. Light Arches was a nice new macro as was Smoky Wainscot. Two more L-albums were both fresh and the Ruby Tiger was first of the summer. Thirty-five of twenty-one species was a pretty good haul for here although a few  hawkmoths and other big, obvious stuff wouldn't go amiss. After clearing the trap a Sparrowhawk glided over heading west followed by two Common Terns.

A bee which caught my eye whilst photographing roses landed at my feet and turned into this nice female Wool Carder.

At the pond nil other than two each of Swift and Swallow. Yesterday's Reed Warbler was either silent or moved on.

Finally, on returning a moth pot to the light storage box a small moth few off and landed in the garage on a wallpaper scraper. It turned out to be a Kent Dark Arches, something reported by others recently but NfG/T here and a 'tick'!! I wonder how much other stuff gets away.

Early evening, Lazio was back in the lavender, as was the single flower bee and a Red-tailed Bumblebee; whilst looking I found a roosting Bee Moth (Aphomia sociella).
