Back to Spring...

Well, the Siberian weather disappeared overnight, temperatures up to 10C and no sign of snow on all the major roads. Sadly, Ibsley, completely clear of ice, looked pretty quiet although up to 30 Goosanders came and went and small numbers of the usual ducks, seven or more Dunlin, one godwit and four Oyks were seen. Both Black-necked Grebes were present but typically distant.

Two kites, up to ten Buzzards etc and this very big juvenile Peregrine, presumably a female which flashed through and wasn't stopping for a foto-op. The Raven above, one of five, also slipped through distant and quickly.
Nothing at all in close.

On the south side, paths pretty wet and slushy but Ivy Lake was also clear of ice with nothing out of the ordinary other than weed-dancing grebes. This Brambling was one of three trying to get down to the carpark feeders but constantly flushed by other people avoiding the slushy carpark.

As is often the case had I stayed longer, today just ten minutes, I would have seen the Ring-billed which Bob posted at 2:15!!
